Is there an easy way to find a particular character? For example, when I'm trying to figure out if a county has a chance of getting inherited by another leader, I'll look at the lines of succession. I can easily find the first heir, but after that it's just a list of names. When number 2 in the line is "Adrianos Pegonites", how do I find that guy if he's not just an immediate family member? I know the ledger has a "characters" page, but I cannot understand how it's organized. If I click on the "Name" column, it just doesn't make any sense. I also don't understand how "name" works on any other page.

Sadly there isn't any way I know of to do what you want. In most cases the heirs will be in the same dynasty, so you can go to the Count's dynasty tree and have a look through there (from his portrait screen). If you know how the succession laws work, then you can run around the tree in the way the succession law algorithm would and find the right person. Sometimes if the person has no dynasty to speak of, there will be a random courtier as the heir, in which case he will be in his court.

I noticed this two actually. It seems more or less random and isn't organized alphabetically by first or dynasty name as far as I can tell. I'm pretty sure the ledger only includes landed characters though so it might now even have what you want.

I had one dead courtier who was killed on the orders of 'Agne'. Searched in my court, no Agne, checked the relatives, no Agne, checked heirs, well he was a courtier so no heirs. The only thing I could think of after was to search all people in the world, sort them by name and find Agne, but there's more than one Agne. Fine waste of time. I wanted to get Agne in my court, have her imprisoned and poke her eyes out for killing my fine courtiers.

If it only included the first name I think that means lowborn. That might help narrow it a bit.

Had similar situations too. Search by name would be very useful!
