Finding Beginner's guide/manual

I'm trying to convince a friend of mine to start playing EU2, and it looks like I might succeed. But somehow he has to learn the game. The manual being officially useless, I naturally turn to this forum.
A month or two ago, someone here started writing an excellent beginner's guide that explained, well, how stuff works. I recall that it was very reader-friendly and tuned to v1.08. But now I can't seem to find it - probably because I'm lousy at searching. Does anyone of you guys remember the thread I'm talking about, and is there any chance that you would happen to know where it is?

Check out this thread, it's a very good "tutorial" for any newbie, including *lots* of information. I tihnk it's done with the 1.07 betas but I'm not sure
