Can anyone tell me if Paradox is looking into this problem with the budget. I have had the problem address in other threads of the budget showing a daily balance of a plus amount and still the total is going down.

And for the third or fourth time, I am now showing a large import defict yet my totals of goods in the trade window is not changing. I am not using any high priced imports to support my industries except steel and, at maximum, I use and import one load per day. Not enough to show a defict of 90 to 100 pounds.

I feel this is a terrible glitch in the system but I can be wrong. If anyone can help me with this problem I would be very grateful.

Thank you all very much.

Me either. I've experienced the unexplained, massive, windfall profits bug a time or two, which I get around by restarting the game from a previous save. I've never seen it repeat itself.

But this repeated story of losing money while other screens promise a profit, no. I don't know what is going on here. :eek:o

PM me so I can arrange for you to send me a savegame. I've not seen this issue myself either, so if you have a savegame from in the middle of the problem, perhaps I can figure out what is happening.

I am not an expert but try this

Once you made your changes in the budget window, you need to go out of the budget window (for example, clicking on research) for your changes to take effect. This also applies to setting trades.

I had this same symptoms when I jacked up taxes for China and still saw negative. Once I clicked a different tab/window, my budget settings took place and then I was fine.

I've had the same problem a few times, and closing the budget window did nothing. It went away by itself after a little while though. (I was playing as China, making a few thousand pounds per day, so there wasn't any real problem--maybe the bug only shows up if you have a large daily surplus and large (millions of pounds) reserves?)

I had a weird problem yesterday with my communist Germany. I suddenly started making massive amounts of money (millions) from taxes and tariffs. The thing just started to push up income to massive and unrealistic levels. I made 14 million pounds.

Then it just went back to normal after about a month...

Exactly the same case. Playing China. Earned like 12M pounds, and at some stage I noticed that my reserves plummeted to 3M. Daily income ~1500 pounds.

Sometimes I need to increase taxes for capitalist (of course liberals in power...) to over 15% and bug is gone for a moment. In other cases I need to subsidize goods heavily or build like 100 INF divisions to increase army upkeep. Either way it is extremy annoying thing. Income permanently is + x.xxx. In particular with China where reaching for example 20000 industrial points is no problem at all, and income is massive, yet game thinks that all values over certain level should be counted in minus. :(

I am glad others are seeing this. I was getting a little paranoid

I thought it would go away when I went to Ricky but it still pops up it's ugly head. :( And the problem I am also having trying to figure out what I am importing when the trade screen shows no increase of imported goods.
