This is a suggestion for a sweet DLC for Cities Skylines. It is a bit ambitious but aside from the game being a fantastic modelling & city-building experience, I feel like the finance of a functioning/balanced city is as rewarding as the city design itself. Unfortunately, the game does not provide for a full experience in that department. I acknowledge the existing finance capabilities but these are very rigid/limited and so what I would love to see is a dual-screen mod (just because I have dual screens) with one side being the game and the other screen being a very comprehensive financial mod where we can regulate prices for just about everything from construction costs to wages, fares for all transports available, etc. Yes, this is a game in itself but man, it would be so cool to be able to complement a great game with a great mod.
How cool would it be to be able to put prices on water usage, electricity, garbage collection, bus/train/plane/etc ticket fares and so on. I mean, all of the exiting financial capabilities plus a ton more... add some cool graphs for income vs expenses, financial reports and more.
Anyway, like I sad at the start, this is just a wild idea and maybe Paradox feels it has some merit.

Might as well incorporate stock markets into the game. Totally unnecessary IMHO. The game isn't a business sim, it's a city building game. You act as part civil engineer, part city planner and part mayor. Mayors don't micromanage transport prices or wages so and and so forth...so do we as pretend mayors.

Well, stock markets is just crazy! Who can handle that?? I agree; it is a city building game, with finance attached to it intrinsically from start to end. One thing is having a city design game (sandbox mode) and another thing is having a city building game, in which the finance is very much a reality. No money, no building and so hence the suggestion of simply a mod and not a redesign of the entire game. I still stand on the idea as it would very much complement the game side. They can call it Micromanaging Mayor. Jk, call it something better.
