There is no "this 1.3", yet, as there is no final version - only a beta. And yes - it should work when applied on top of a GoG version.

GoG is 1.2. How can I have the forum know that I have a GoG copy to download the 1.3 beta?
So the forum is saying that a code I found on the Games page of GoG, under For the Glory, under More, under Serial Keys, is invalid.

The forum does not "need to know" the version of your installed game. The beta patch is not automatically installed using GOG downloader or other installationtools, you have to manually download and install it. The 1.3 patch is found in the Tech Support subforum of FtG.
Happens a lot. A few are hard to read, e.g. when a 0 (zero) looks like an O (like in Ottoman) or other similar characters are misread. And very old codes might not be recognized by the forum.
Then you did everything right and the support should be able to register your game for you so that you can add the FtG icon under your avatar.
Sounds like Paradox support handles this kind of thing a lot, but if they can't help you, send me a PM.

In the thread of the beta have you clicked the link to the LAST version of the beta as only that is available?
If so, what problem do you have downloading the patch?
I was forced to contact support for having a Good Old Games download with an old key. I was able to download after admins registered me.
