Hi
What do you think of fictional map where all the countries would have same amount of land and resources? It would have single continent or island for each country. I think that would be fun to play. could it be doable?

How would it work though? Everyone would be basically on a square of land to get the same amount and what about terrain?

I think that if you wanted to put nations on a more even footing in a mod it might be a better idea to massively increase production so that smaller nations with only a few factories would be able to pump out interesting divisions and in significant enough numbers to make a difference.

Doesn't have to be 100% same imo but also same manpower etc resources. geography can differ
also maybe fewer countries than normal. maybe 10-20
and maybe some alliances

I would personally like to play against the AIs. Why would the AI be in disadvantage?

AI is not as smart as human players. In MP you could make all human players equal since it's fictional. If human and AI players have equal countries in SP then the human should be able to win, unless AI is somehow more suited to fictional worlds. That might be a good reason to have fictional worlds in SP if the AI could be better at it, but since HOI4 is a computer game it already is a fictional world in a sense.

I like the idea of being able to create a totally fictional world map though. Would be a good super-DLC, not just a mod.

true, but if there's every country vs everyone then some countries might grow big while others lose so you never know how strong enemy the player will face in the end. There's also the difficulty level that gives AI bonuses

Right. It's all in how it's set up. You could specify parameters for generating the fictional world such as number of majors and minors and factions, relative strengths, what features to allow or disallow, etc. It might be easier for the AI too since the real world is too complex to simulate really accurately compared to a would-be fictional one. In MP every player would usually want equal countries but in SP you do anything you want.
