I was playing around in this considering to buy it, I've always been a big HOI2 fan and appreciate this is a labour of love, just have a few nagging questions that are frustrating me and making me lose interest in games I've started.
Foreign IC use: Places I've annexed are only giving me about 16% of their base value, is there any way to really increase this via policies/tech/time or am I better off releasing them as a puppet?
Transport Planes: I was playing the czechs and managed to survive WWII and joined the allies, the war against japan is the only thing left and I'd like to help out there but with no access to the sea I can't send any units there. I spent years researching and building transport planes, but when I load troops into them I can't re-base the planes anywhere, how do I move troops with planes?
Releasing nations seems broken to some extent. I own almost all of germany and got france to give me the few bits they owed, while Russia controls Berlin and a few provinces around it. Russia annexed Germany but I have no option to release germany or west germany, and after quite a few years they have also not created east germany. Are these only triggered by events which I have broken by capturing germany as the Czechs? I've had similar problems to this before where I control 90% of a country but another power, often my ally, controls a key province or two and neither of us can release the nation. Sometimes using acceptall I can get them to give me the needed provinces but even then it doens't always work.
I like playing smaller nations and it seems the big powers have an even larger tech-team advantage now than from hoi2. Where can I mod the max tech teams back down?
The AI seems extremely stupid. The US send 90+ units to a little island near japan and they've just been sitting there for years. They've started trying to invade asia and have taken most of korea, but with only a few divisions they aren't doing so well, all while 90+ units are sitting on a nearby island. They did the same in Africa, sending a HUGE stack of units to africa, taking only a part of it (they don't advance even though italy controls a lot of it). I just keep seeing instances of the AI having a huge number of troops either on an island or even right next to the enemy and they don't advance or do anything. Is this an AoD issue or just hoi2's AI problems?
