I could not find any credit for the music in Crusader Kings (I). I liked that music. I actually have a CD (included all 13 tracks) that I listen sometimes while driving.

1. Can someone tell me who wrote that music, is it a same person who did CK II?

2. Aren’t we entitled to music as well if we purchased the game? I think we should. And it is not possible to extract that, the same way I did it from CK, so I can listen while driving (I drive a lot ) . I find that music for Crusader Kings II is great too. By my opinion, by far the best, if you compare the work of the same author on EU III and Vic II (DLC music added on quantity and quality! Congratulation.). So is there a way, and do I have right to do it for myself enjoyment?

3. May I suggest for some future new music DLC pack, to include all (or best of) music from CK (I) arranged and played in a CK II style (I understand I can add that music, however I would like to hear it in a concept and performed by CK II artist).

AFAIK, all (or at least most) of the music for PDS games is composed by Andreas Waldetoft.

EDIT: And I don't know what you mean by being entitled to the music. If you bought the game, it's right there, in the music folder. You can just copy it and listen to it whereever.

Thanks for the site, Dragnar.
Still wandering about CK I.

And for your edited part: What I ment, is what you assumed, however, while CK files were formated as MP3 files and I just copied it, the music files for CK II are not recognized by my PC. So I can not even listen to them on computer eather (expect when playing the game off course).

EDIT: I also have the complet pack of EU II legendary music. I am engineer, and travel a lot for sites visits, and driving on the streets and highways in and around 5 mil populated city is slow and painful experience, and good music is essential for my brain survival. That way I can work, drive and somewhere in the back of my mind playing a game or being somewhere in medieval, renaissance era, not this hell around ;) )

The Music Files are in .ogg Format, which is a free-open container format and an alternative to the standard .mp3. You can play them with the VLC media Player if I remember correctly.

I play them all the time in VLC. Great tunes. To be honest sometimes I find myself switching to a muslim ruler, consoling "nextsong" till persian army comes, and then bouncing back to my own player.

What is VLC? I have Windows Media Player, and it says that is .ogg format and that it does not recognize it, so it want play.

On the page that Vishaing posted, it says that it is FREE file format. Does that mean I can just uploaded to my computer in order to recognize it, or something else to do with that?
Changing file (or extension) to WMA Windows Media Player doesn't do the trick.

And as noted above I do agree that AndreasW nailed it perfectly with CK II music (unlike EU II and VicII that was not bad but not close to this master work of art), straight into the heart.

Video Lan Media Player.

It is a Free format, however if you don't have a Media Player that understands the .ogg file format you cannot play it. Renaming the file extension will not work because the actual code in the file is still in the .ogg format. In fact it will make it worse because now even Players that understand .ogg won't work because they will try to use their .mp3 codecs or other to run it.

That said, there are probably codecs for .ogg you can install for Windows Media Player, or a plugin or something. The .ogg file format has been around for a while now.
