Fertility decreasing by generation?

My dynasty has a nasty habit of marrying half siblings, full cousins, uncles/aunts, and yeah.

It's worked out for a while, exterior entities don't get claims on my titles, and desirable traits stay in.

Concubines and illegitimate kids kept new blood in.

However, these past 3 or 4 generations have seen a decline in the fertility of my main line.

I can keep the fertility up with traits, ambitions, and foci, but I would rather follow other pursuits. I can't try to pursue the hunting focus because I need to do seduction to keep my fertility up.

How can I get my fertility up? Is this a coincidence or is fertility genetic?

I think court size is related to fertility. If your court is big, your courtiers have less fertility, including family members.

As far as I know this only affects non-dynastic courtiers and not your own family.

Seconded. Family focus is easy to overlook but its one of the most useful and low risk options in the game.

Take family focus for fertility + health bonus, keep it until your heir and spare are both 16, change it to whatever you want.
