More than Isabella of England, was to disable all females in the family starting by Joanne of Navarra

actually, the queen of England is black since she had a marocan princess from 13. of 14. century as an ancestor, portuguese line i think. so, the romanov were also black...

basically princess Diana took her coffee like her men: strong, black and no sugar.

but here is a simple scenario for a black king of england:

king of leon marries a moor princess as a peace treaty, their daugther marries heir of england, their child becomes king...

Except that you can't marry into families of different religions in CK, so you'd likely have to forcibly convert the ruling dynasty, then marry into it.

Probably the monarch with the greatest succes in Denmark for all times were Margrete I who was the second daugther of Valdemar Atterdag (Valdemar new day (for denmark that is)). She was married to the norwegian king with wich she had a son (Oluf). her husband died and and she reigned on behalf of her son (over Norway) then her father died and the dane elected her to rule over denmark as lord and master (but not as monarch by name). Then the Swedes elected her son to rule over them. the three realms were joined in the Union of Kalmar (a city in Sweden). unfortunatly Oluf died just before he turned 18 and Magrete then adobted her older sisters son, the later king Erik VII (who if you play Denmark in EU2 you start out with as king). Margrete later died of plauge and left the union to Erik who, unfortunatly, was somewhat incompetent to manage the three kingdoms.

So I personally hope that women can inherit the throne albeit under special curcomstanses (suddenly i don´t know how to spell - sorry).

Strictly speaking, Moroccans are Berbers. There is a population of more 'African' peoples there, and "Moor" was a nearly geographic distinction which could mean Arab, Berber, or Black. But when referring to the ruling class you're talking about an Arab or Berber.

I think there is plenty of room for female leadership in CK. History has a number of examples of powerful female aristocrats taking power in European courts, either openly or discreetly. We must bear in mind, however, these women usual held power in the absense of a suitable male dynast. CK is based on actual European history and it would be a pity if overly gender-conscious producers deliberatly saturated the game with unhistorical women leaders just to satisfy modern feminist thinkers.

but it would be sooo cool if croatia had a queen in 1202., perhaps named Xena...

so she can kick the venetians and crusaders at Zadar... and then crush the tatars when they come...

According to Lex Salica, if there are no male heirs (brothers) then the estates are inherited to the firstborn daughter.
The Salic Law was only applicable for a minor part of the area covered by the game though... ;)

It will be interresting to see how the various rules for inheritance varying over time and space will be implemented :)

I don' tthink that will happend. But as you said there were a few examples of females with power, usually because of a lack of a suitabel male heir. Matilda of Tuscany, anyone?

Or not.

England, for example, had a number of female suzerains;

Jane Grey, Mary, Elizibeth, Victoria, to name a few.

There can be female leadership but it should be the exception rather than the rule.

Jadwiga, king (YES! KING! it's because in Polish krolowa=queen=means wife of the kign, so she was crowned as krol, that is KING) of Poland. Last hereditary ruler of Poland. When she died childless, or other kings were elected (beginning with first sons of Wladislaw Jagiello).

and I'd love to see the geneology linking to this supposed Morrocan Princess. Windsor has absolutely no lineage to the Royal Family of England in the 14th Century.
