Feedback on the new forum look

Paradox was always somewhat more "serious" and less mainstream, and thats why it got such a fan base
function/gameplay was emphasized over looks/mainstream money

the community splitting with aod/ic/dh was a blow,
now this new forum, looks "nice" at first glance, but useablity is way down, feels more scroll heavy, many different font color/background color contrasts, aso
why not add this powerpoint typewriter sound for typing a reply, would be even more funky/annoying
and the "like" facebook button
I feel like being in some sort of pokemon forum!

Well, it's fixed now. With that red in my eyes, and the blue on the forum, I see life in pink.

I wonder why the signature is aligned such that it and its dividing line are always lower than the avatar info in the left-hand panel. It wastes an awful lot of space in forum threads when people make short posts but have some content in their signature.

Obviously the more games registered and icons assembled the more wasted space, which means that the new forum layout encourages not registering games as doing so excessively leads to many wasted lines of space.

The dividing line and start of the signature should be one or two lines below the end of a post, not aligned to the left-hand avatar information.

My post count enables me to whine.

I already miss the old one. And I hope they aren't done yet with changes and there will be improvements still over what's now. Why are "reply" thingies hidden by default - having click every time I'm posting is tedious. Why is color "white on blue" - give me something that won't make me wear glasses before I hit 30. Why isn't the column with posts 2x wider to support huge images - images are as important the content here as texts.

This here reminds me how EA ruined ME2 forums. :-\ Maybe Paradox wanted to save cash on forum maintenance and scare majority of posters to some externally ran forum like TwCenter for CA games?

Will admin read this? I doubt they will, their eyes ought to hurt reading white on blue. ;-)

Let's not read too much into inevitable teething problems after a major forum upgrade. I know that Paradoxians love a good chance to whine but a bit of perspective would not go amiss here...

Multi-quote: I don't think this was on the last forum, but I like how you can just pick which posts to quote and it comes up rather than after the first quote having to copy and paste.The Facebook option will be nice for those who use it, and it doesn't really bother me. For those that it does bother need to get over it: it's just like one button. I also like the brand new front page, it will be nice to keep track of all your silly little announcements.

My complaints:
I seriously have to hold my mouse over the Notifications button to get to my inbox?
What's the difference between, on the very top, clicking my name and clicking on My Profile?
Also why is it on the banner?
Layout is ugly. Option to change to last layout?
PLEASE fix this widescreen thing. It bothers me

New looks takes about 50% of my screen space. So poor optimization in that case.
Also, I see no other difference than the skin, which is ugly IMO.

I don't know if anyone mentions this, but the location of the login prompt (and the account options after you log in) is right on top of the Paradox banner. But the Paradox banner is a link. So that means that if you are trying to click on the "Remember me" button when logging in, or trying to change your account settings, it is easy to accidentally click on the banner. I don't think that is a good layout choice.
