After playing my first full game I've noticed some things that are in serious need of improvement.
1) The AI never casts dispel. The reason games like these are usually hard to balance is because players protect thier units and let them level up and get strong while the AI is careless with thier units. While it is nearly impossible to make an AI that is as smart as a human about protecting thier units, its is very easy to have the AI cast dispel on your powerhouse units with 10 magic buffs destroying thier army. Even more so when the AI researches the dispel all buffs spell, they should be casting that everytime a units with 3+ buffs shows up inside thier fog of war. This would make the game alot more balanced and enjoyable.
2) Ghosts are OP vs the computer. Immune to melee and ranged is just too much when the AI still attacks them even though the units can't hurt the ghosts. My ghosts do more damage to the opponent on defense than on offense. Again, and easy fix, just have the AI check damage before an attack, and do not attack if the projected damage is 0, or even better, if the projected damage is way lower than what they will be taking themselves. Also it would be great if you added in a check to blast ghosts with spells more often. Just as they look to cast dispel on buffed units, look to cast spells on ghosts.
3) Either change the win spell or don't have the computer cast it. Interuppting the spell that wins the game is so easy that it's dumb. The computer will never win against a human with this spell so there is no reason for them to ever waste thier time casting it. Either a change needs to be made to the research method of winning or you need to have the computer not cast it.
4) Computer doesn't buff. About 200 turns into the game my units just stopped dying. Every 20-30 turns I might lose one, but that didn't matter because i had the resurrection spell and got them right back. Which first of all doesn't even make sense since I was the undead team, but secondly made the game a joke for the rest of the time. If the computer would buff its units this wouldn't be such a problem because then you'd face units that are actually dealing damage to you. Doesn't even have to be fair as players protect thier units better, just have the AI teams, when they build a unit, it automatically gets all the buffs that they have unlocked in thier empire.
I think if you took care of these four things, my suggestions or some other way, it would make this game alot more enjoyable and people might recommend it to friends/continue to play.
