Fedora 30, game crash at startup since new launcher

Hello there

My laptop is the Thinkpad E485 with the AMD Ryzen 5 2500U APU

I've installed Fedora 30 workstation on the only drive.

I've installed steam as normal

dnf install steam

I've installed Europa Universalis IV through steam

Since the new launcher update (1.29.0) I'm no more able to play the game.

The game will launch, as usual, the new launcher is executed, as soon as I click on play the launcher/game crashes with the Paradox Crash Reporter screen and the music playing in the background.

I've been playing EU4 on this pc since April 2019, and I've never had any problem with the previous version(s).

Something that usually helps is DxDiag (if you play on Windows). DXDIAG is a program you run from a command prompt or the Windows start menu 'run' dialog box (or 'search programs' in Windows 7 or later). After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Please also post the settings.txt file (\Documents\Paradox Interactive\EUIV\ folder)

I'm not on Windows.

What if you do it that way while Steam is running?

Running the OS through Xorg, instead of the standard gnome fixed it!
