Just chilling, waiting for the next big event to happen, when suddenly a little nugget of my empire gets cut off by a bunch of garbage intersecting my borders.

Purple is me. Blue is the offending empire. Teal was an uplifted species. System(s) in question are Occidan and Fauetera, both of which were within my borders before outposts were built.

On ironman mode, so I can't really roll back.
Any help?

Maybe the uplifted species allowed them to build in their space. But the only way to get rid of it would be during war. I hope you can defeat that empire / federation.

Shared systems count as uncontrolled. Anyone can put down an outpost - which doesn't seem right.

War is the only way for you to get rid of it - and you'll probably have to take out Betelgeuse to prevent them from rebuilding the stations after the war.

Also worth considering releasing you vassal and take him out after the truce. Protectorates are really annoying as they NEVER seem to catch up in tech.
