I haven't found any report about that. It happened to me twice with male cousins of mine. The guys went intricate webweaver and fortune builder for one, and tough soldier and knowledged tactician for the other.

This migth happen from time to time if the two events fire very close to each other so that either hasn't been chosen first. Unfortunately the developers have indicated it being too hard to fix that.
