I thought I'd make a thread where we can gather the information/discuss information from the stream today! (Note: My list is very incomplete of much so feel free to add)

Will add spaces between information if it's expressed to be hard to read to due the amount of info.

Information:
-Stellar Starfish Empire is clearly better and also never succumbed to the Worm.
-Blorg body pillows and Chemical Bliss go hand and hand (actually true)

Actual Information/Answered questions:
-Armies haven't been adjusted that we know of.
-Defensive armies do not give bonus unrest reduction as opposed to others; All are equal
-Food can be traded with other empires
-Livestock is a much more efficient way to gain food (slight joke as it is a nice improvement).
-Purging individual POPs is NOT coming back
-Warscore adjusted for late game. Changes will be tied to technologies (possibly increases)
-Base Core System cap is now 3. There are techs that will increase this limit.
-Ringworlds must be build in 5 planet system (no moon) with no active colony in system. Habitable segments get energy/minerals (science is unsure atm). Completed 1 segment at a time.
-Basic Farm gives +2 food; Hydroponic Farm gives +3 food. (+1 than current values; all numbers subject to change pending final patch notes)

Possible Answers:
-Hive mind ethics (9th Ethos; on the very right of faction screen at top)
-Slave armies on a planet with high unrest (if slaves present) probably a bad idea as was hinted if you are unsure of your control.
-Empire Ethics can be changed by embracing specific factions. If this would result in more than three ethics than a current ethic with the lowest attraction will be dropped.
-Pacifist Ethos gives +Core Systems at start (not confirmed atm)

Still questions:
-Trade: Can we determine where an Empire gets it's food. So we don't trade for a nice Fungal Salad when we clearly have no desire to do so ourselves.
-Exact details of Armageddon Bombardment
-Influence cost of invading every planet? During war? Primitive only?

Teases:
-Civics tease from stream
---Police State: -20 Unrest
---Slaver Guild: +10% Slave Mineral and Food output
---Beacon of Liberty: +10% Unity
---Free Haven: +50% Migration Attraction

Civics apparently selected during Empire creation (based on Wiz's twitter teasing). More details revealed in next weeks dev diary.

If anyone stuck around after the stream Wiz apparently came back and did a Q&A. Sadly I missed this so I do not know what information was given there.

I'll also update this post if it's okay with people providing their answers for me to do so. Really going to need a comprehensive list of every change at some point (yes, yes patch notes are a thing but my memory is not the greatest and I'm already forgetting things I'm sure).

Edit: Updated as far as my last replies in thread. 2/17/2017 4:31pm CST

He answered a few things about ringworlds i threw in there as i was abit curious.

1: To build them it needs to be a 5 planet system ( not moons ) and not have current active colony in it

2. Ringworlds are completed in 1/4th each time so you complete 1 habitatable section at a time + some of the seam

3. the habitatable segment also gets resources like energy/minerals not sure about science.

Near they end of the stream they showed a spoiler to next weeks DD.

There a civics which give certain bonuses to your government. It is unclear if they are selected at empire creation or during the game and under which circumstances.

The Empire has:
Police State -20 unrest
Slaver Guilds +10% slave food and mineral output

The Republic has:
Beacon of Liberty +10% unity
Free Haven +50% migration attraction

Also you can change your empire ethics by embracing a faction with that ethic. If it would cause you to have ethics worth more than 3 points than the ethic you already have with the lowest embracement gets removed.

3. the habitatable segment also gets resources like energy/minerals not sure about science.

From previous info, the segments will obtain whatever resources were on the planets used to make it. So if one of the planets has +3 physics research, one of the tiles on the ringworld should have that.

It costs influence to invade pre-spaceflights in 1.4 just an FYI

It always did. Confirmed as of last night.

It already costs influence to invade primitives.

Haha, all right I get it. I will edit the post thank you guys Clearly I haven't played enough Xenophobes lately.

A bit more details, please.

The Stellar Starfish Empire clearly has the cuter POPS and the correct way of dealing with the rest of the Galaxy.

I do appreciate anyone who went with the humour I put into the post! Ha!

And facts? How those two types of Empires feels compared to each other? Actually my main question is: minerals really become such an important thing, that suffering thought all that slavery-related problems is worth it. Or it's yet unclear?

Personal opinion, I think it's still too early to tell about the mineral game. With the Slave Unrest reduction from Slave Processing Facility, Police State Civic, and the extra 10% food/minerals from the civic Slave Guilds it could be worth it. We will have to see as the game gets farther along. I do share your concerns as I like to play a Xenophobe Slave empire myself. I like what I'm seeing so far though.

We already knew lifestock gives +2food per pop, whilst purging by feasting gives +4food per pop.

Humor in my post that was. Directed at Wiz's not as impressive food stockpiles due to not using livestock on primitives.

Base Core System Cap is now 3, but adding to the cap now includes regular techs instead of a mid/late-game repeatable tech.

Something that Wiz's empire (Pacifist ethos?) let him have 5 core systems as his starting cap.

Wiz did say warscore (at least for taking planets/territory) will be adjusted late-game, and implied the changes will be tied to tech.

Pacifist ethos was giving +2 core worlds as of the second stream, you could see it in the tooltips when Wiz was creating the elves. So yeah, I think it's very likely that that's what it is.
