I'd like to see that you can build specific research institutes, influenced by the academic circles, so that you actually see universities etc. on the map. Also factories should contribute towards research.

So it would be very hard for a land-locked nation to develop battleships because they wouldn't have a shipyard to try out basic concepts.

I would like to see the whole POP system scrapped. :eek:o

It was nice to look at but in my opinion a 19th century strategy game that already has war, diplomacy, politics and an economy does not need POPs.

But its absolutely essential! The social, economic and ideological content of each of those societies is what made things go the way they did

A technical requests

Please, please, please concentrate on game-process, not on grafic eye-candies! You last 2 titles(EU3, HoI3) were too buggy on release AND they refuse to work on my system, despite the fact that it is above the minimal specification. Please, do more testing on different computers/systems. Please, get your grafic engine working on XP-SP3-Nvidia!, Please, do some bug-hunting before release, even if it mean to delay the release date!

I love your products and your commitment to to the fans, but the last two titles brought me too close to decision to abandon your community and to stop bying your products.

Please, prove me I was wrong.

Posted in the other thread already, but I think nice option when releasing a country as a satellite would be to choose which nationality to give the power, ie. whether to give it to one of the Bantu nations or the Afrikaners in South Africa. Similar could also be applied to cases such as Israel and a few Balkan nations. Though this could be too hard to implement without adding much to actual gameplay.

Also, making naval warfare more important! This is something I really missed in Vicky 1.

Speaking of naval warfare, what about blockades, which reduces revenues from international trades?
And maybe convoy system for international trades as well?
And also quantity and demand elasticity numerical for better decision-making(cues from economics 101)?

I don't like the concept of "civilization", because it implies that "uncivilized" nations lack value in some fashion and ignores the fact that many of them have highly advanced cultures and histories.

I agree that there must be more levels of national advancement. But the game's still about the age of imperialism, the white man's burden to bring civilization to the savages. China had an advanced culture and a long and rich history. But in Western eyes they were still uncivilized. IRL Japan was the only non-western nation that was, after kicking Russia's ass, accepted as a major power. The standard thus must be economic and military strength, not culture and history.
