On transportation systems, location and capacity
In vicky railroad were modelled as such that in the end the location of them did not matter as much as it would have been historicly. Typicly capitalists builded factory's regardless of the location of where the raw materials would have come from and would have carpeted the country with railroads regardless of the economic feasabilety of such a railroad.
I would like a more in depth transportation system, wich would make it more logical to locate early industry's nearer to the raw materials they need as would have been historicly, but also taking into account some other factor's like market and labour availabilety, and where railroads would be build in a more ellaborate way to enlarge the capacity to bring raw materials to industrial centers, and transport the products further to consumers, or to allow travel between larger poppulation centers, rather than just carpet the country with railroads. That would mean railroads would be better build more specificly between raw materials and factory's, and between factory's and city's or harbours. In addition, some sort of capacity attached to that would be feasable, so that economical logistics become an important part of the game. This way, the location of factory's and railroads would actually matter. Maybe there should also be a price attached to transportation, and transportation method's like ships and rairoads should have their own income generation (like factory's) so that this would be included in the cost of the raw material comming into a factory and thus would affect profitabilety of a factory, and that in addition buying foreign products would get more pricy depending on the distance it has to travel.
