Yeah they haven't told us when the first post release patch will be, but I'm hoping it is less than a month.
I wouldn't be too surprised for a day 1 patch to fix it and any other "minor" (aka easy to fix) bugs they find between now and then. They probably don't want to change their initial release package before release at this point, but could have the patch ready to go on release. But even if it take a few weeks (which it probably won't), I think we can manage.
Btw, is anyone else uncomfortable with the in-your-face-y nature of the list of things to do?
In CK2, they were neatly arranged at the top of the screen, but in CK3 they are centered and stick quite far downwards toward the center of the screen, where they were kind of in the way. I'm fine with rearranging the items in a vertical list rather than horizontally like in CK2, but it would be less obtrusive if it was in, for example, the top left corner.
As far as the notification at the top of the screen, I've commented on this as well. I personally don't think I'll be a fan of it. I think things will end up being forgotten in their or missed for a period of time as I'll most likely leave it minimized except on the (likely) rare occasions I think to check it. It is true that other notifications are on the side and those aren't bad because they are easy to see, but they take up way too much room. In general, the UI uses too much space, imo. Hopefully there is a UI scaling option. Just looking at how if you can fill the entire screen by just opening 3 "windows" bothers me. In CK2, the windows were much smaller and actually showed more (or at the very least, as much) than these larger ones. I like the new style, but I think the size is just too large.
Also not big fan of how diplomacy/character interaction menu looks (color scheme) and works. Why collapse options? Scrollbar worked fine in CK2.
Yeah, I don't really understand the reason for collapsed options either. I'd much prefer the ability to see everything without clicking to expand various options. I don't mind a scrollbar if needed. Especially in the beginning, I'll have to click every one of these over and over again just to see if there is a new option that appears in a certain situation. Just like some options in CK2 only show if conditions are met, I'm assuming the same is true here. As in CK2, some show all the time and are just grayed out, but I'm sure some will appear only at certain times and until I know what those are and when they appear, I'll have to keep wasting time checking all collapsed menus. Not something I look forward to.
