Ok, I couldn't think of a better way to put it but I hope I can describe it enough that it makes sense.
This applies game-wide and isn't clan/kuni specific.
In game now if you're looking at the map and click around, you get information on whatever kuni you click on. The information panel in the bottom left just updates to reflect whatever new kuni you're looking at. I'd like to hear people's thoughts on similar behavior applied to the Diplomacy screen (possibly others, but Diplomacy is the only one I can think gets used enough to make a difference).
Say I have the Diplomacy panel open. Right now, if I click on another kuni with the diplomacy panel open, it closes the diplomacy screen and goes to the kuni details panel. What I'm proposing is that instead of going to the kuni details panel when you click a new kuni, the diplomacy panel stays open and the information is updated to whatever kukujin/daimyo/clan leader owns that kuni. So if I was (for example) trying to marry off sons or daughters to my neighbors, I could just open the diplomacy menu once and click on provinces belonging to potential future in-laws. Or say I want to invite a bunch of clans neighboring a bigger clan for a plot. I can simply click my way around the map and get them all instead of having to go through each clan's hierarchy then find the person I want to invite each time. I still have to actually conduct the proposal and plot invite myself of course, this is only changing the behavior of the panel.
Did I explain that in a way that makes any sense? What do you folks think?
On a related but separate note, I think it would be nice if some of the list panels we open during the course of the game stayed open more. I'm thinking particularly of the window that pops up when you click 'marraige' or when you click 'grant'. Sometimes I'd like to be able to cruise through my court or character's information sheet before I go committing to something, and it'd just be a little quicker to do so if the window stayed open. I may be the only one who does all this extra checking though so it could just be me
Really digging this game. Awesome job Paradox!
