I am just wondering because I am currently a child Basilelius with only the greedy trait. About 1 year into my new reign I have a Independance faction decide to finally try to declare independance from my ERE. It was only 2 dukes and 1 count but they did have the event where people flocked to thier cause so they were able to muster up an army of around 7000 troops. Also at this time I have a faction to put my Aunt on the throne of the ERE that has a faction power that is roughly around 95%.
Anyways after I eventually crush them(and lose Salerno to Almoravids in the process) I blinded the Duke of Salerno and castrated the count of Jerusalem right after peace was signed.
Not to long after this at least half of the people supporting my aunt in her faction all dropped out, pretty simultanously I might add. And now the faction power has dropped down to 33%.
Is it just because the other faction failed in trying to gain independance. Or are all those counts and dukes now afraid of a blinding or castration upon failure?
