I am a meta gamer. I can´t help it, but that doesn´t mean i dont like the roleplaying and faction aspects aswell.

I want to increase both loyalty and fear to level 3 to unlock the different party member abilities that are gained.

'I know the game has not been out long, but does anyone know i there are consequenses of raising both?

My idea was mostly to raise both to level 3 and then otherwise play to what i want for my character.

There are some checks that only check vs fear, those checks normally result in something bad happening if you can't recover from it with a skill check or dialogue option.

As in if the fear level is high something bad would happen (disregarding the skill check). Hence recommendable from a meta perspective to keep it low?

Pretty much, since if you lose the character you can't get the bonus from the fear anyways :p Though you can certainly try it out, you may need to replay conversations and make sure your subterfuge and lore stay high to avoid the bad result.
