Favourite Major to play as?

Japan... Navy,Air and land combat first against china then USSR and/or allies then eventually the USA. No other nations have so much to do with limited industrial power. Forget the OP USA,USSR,GERMANY, this time you don't have 250+ factories and shipyards to roll on everything, your skill will matter.

that's why I enjoy the UK, but it's better than Japan for war - yes, no china, but at least it's not waiting for naval plans all the time. The smallness of Europe also helps for air war

Japan and slightly after it the UK (the focus tree is a bit annoying imo). Both countries are pretty "safe" and can act relatively independent from everything else in the world in the SP.

Most boring nation is the USA. Can't stand to play this country, because you can't do anything for such a long time.

Italy and Japan.

Both are resource starved majors who have to punch above their weight to actually be of some use for the general axis cause.

Also both are the offensive ones and fight on land, air and sea so you get to do it all.

Thats the thing, whatever I do changes from time to time. Usually I stay pretty true to vanilla route though.
