Favorite Underdog

So it seems a lot of people like the underdog. Weather playing as them or rooting them along during your game as a different nation. There's a lot of them to choose from, Granada, The Knights, Orleans, a few dozen others. So, who's your favorite underdog?

Certainly an underdog when compared to how they did in RL.

Pomerania (always see them get partitioned real quick) and !!Sweden!! The Swedes are either powerhouses in the north or... not. In my last game, Sweden had maybe 3 or 4 provinces, the rest having gone to Denmark, Poland, Russia, Austria, and the Ottomans.

Granada is my fav. I played as sweden but found that there really wasn't anyone who could challenge me.

Granada is nice though.

Not really an underdog, but I root for them : Sweden.

Though, I guess the Papacy is my favourite.

Ukraine. Whenever they appear, I always try and give them money to keep them alive. It rarely works though

I'd say the Grenadines, the Scots, or the savoyans. All have great potential.

Navarra. They usually end up annexed peacefully by the English, Castillians, Aragonese, or wiped out by 1450. Unless I play them, they do terribly. Once I saw them occupy all of Castilla in a war, but they promptly signed peace for 75 ducats.

In Europe? My favorite would be Teke. Surrounded by powerful neigbors that all have CBs on you, and you don't have any CB's...

I really love Savoy, except when I play a major power in that area... It must be the flag and the fact that they sometimes grow to be a real contender for the AI.

Isn't that always the way it is! So, annoying.

I'll say Orleans. They seem to always get eatten by England within the first few months. If not, annexation from france usualy comes soon enough.

Long live the papal state

I'd pick the Papal State.
They get bullied way too much by the other Catholic nations.
I wish it would anger the catholic nation more if anyone DARES to annex it (I mean more than a CB).

Also,
they should get a special income from the sale of indulgences.

I also feel sorry to all the native american tribes. Which should be more aggresive, burning stuff to the ground if no effort are taken to please them, in short, being the threat it was to the colonial power at the time. Now, when at war, they won't dare move their 30000 warrior to burn nearby unprotected enemy trading posts. arg
