And for anyone who has read 'A distant mirror' by Barbara Tuchman, you can play the 'de Coucy' dynasty to. The father of Enguerrand (also called Enguerrand) is count of Vermandois in 1337.
I dunno if anyone has mentioned this yet, but if you're playing a mod that makes Pagans playable, the House of Romanov exists at 1066 as the Lappish Chiefs of the Samoyeds in Siberia.
Also gonna have to agree with the van Vlaanderens. Nothing better than screwing over the Frankish monarchy with your incredibly rich and powerful duchy![]()
Except those are not the same Romanovs without any Rurikid blood. More like very distant Siberian cousins to future tsars of Muscovy.
That sounds great. I wish that had been an AAR.I don't remember how many kingdoms I had at the end, but it was before the Empire patch, but man, that is still my favorite game to date. Another favorite was the Halani dynasty of Alania that I educated to be Zoroastrian and recreated some sort of Scythia reborn, but failed defending against the Mongol onslaught.
That sounds great. I wish that had been an AAR.
I love playing as the Alans.![]()
