That's the greatest piece of news I've ever heard in my entire life. And no, I am not exaggerating. I suppose the trick is finding lowborn women.
there's pretty much a lowborn woman in every court at game start now, atleast in my games

Oh? Do you remember where and when?
As count of Nassau somewhere around 1125 and from then on the von Nassau dynasty is playable untill 1337. One of the is even emperor of the HRE, in the late 13th century.
Adolf von Nassau
My first Ck2 game was as the (I'm guessing fictional) di Salerno dynasty as Dukes of Salerno. I managed to make an independant Kingdom of Sicily with them, put an end to Orthodoxy and Greek culture in Sicily, and take Ascalon in a Crusade (and hold it till the end of the game.)
Perhaps best of all, the computer-generated family I made Dukes of Ascalon somehow married into the ERE, and a cadet branch became Italian Catholic Byzantine Emperors.
The rulers of Salerno are a real historical dynasty. Most christian, feudal and ecclestical rulers in the game are real historical characters.
I did know that most of the characters are historical, I just assumed the di Salernos ruling Salerno was just too serendipitous to be true and was one of the few exceptions.
They were the last of the Lombards! Possibly one of the coolest ruling families in CK II.I did know that most of the characters are historical, I just assumed the di Salernos ruling Salerno was just too serendipitous to be true and was one of the few exceptions.

While I have often played as a custom made house of d'ibelin is there a place they actually start in game with holdings?
The real Ibelins: E.g. 1187 Count of Beersheb in the Duchy of Ascalon.
- Wizlawid, they start as the pagan rulers of Mecklenburg, but become playable as the counts of Rugen around 1160 or so.
Van Vlaanderen, obviously
It's always funny when they're kings of France
