Favor vs Wrath

I am trying to understand whether you can increase both favor and wrath at the same time.

I can see several things during dialog options:
[ Gain / Loose ] [ Minor / Average / Major ] [ Favor / Wrath ]

This means that gaining Wrath doesn't actually decrease Favor. And loosing Favor doesn't increase Wrath. So the two bars fill independently of each other.

Can you then max both Favor and Wrath for a faction, and thus gain the bonuses of both? How will the faction see you then? As a friend, or an enemy?

I assume that won't be possible based on the number of encounters that grants you Favor/Wrath.

Bumping. Can you have both a high favor and high wrath with a faction gaining the bonuses of both?

Yes you can have both - there are some factions where you can have both favor/wrath abilities. Some events can remove favor/wrath depending on your choices but most of the time there are not enough events to max both.
