Wow, they've still got some fight left. 700 US naval bombers appearing over the fleet is enough to make anyone nervous. Fortunately it is night and my interceptors are there too. It looks like things are still heating up and we haven't seen the US's best shot yet.
The naval bombers come back again nearer dawn and mix it up with a good proportion of local German Luftwaffe assets. This is still making me nervous as there is an awful lot of shit flying about and I haven't got a full face mask in place.
US forces still haven't given up on throwing me back from the approaches to Bogotá even though I am outflanking them towards Medellín. Mind you, their attack is too weak to be effective but they ain't* lying down quietly.
I thought we might all enjoy some quaint English contractions for a change. Just 'cos Microsoft thinks it ain't good English dun't mean nuffink.

And here is the high level view of how things stand now. Positions are starting to get a little confused but the allies only have two provinces in South America that don't have a German controlled one next to it and they are obscure coastal locations.
The advance on Medellín is going to take far too long so I am going to land some troops to speed it up. This isn't a real combat landing as the enemy is in full retreat so I don't have to worry about correct force structure. I am now in the position were the onshore advances and this landing will soon create a continuous front from Managua across into Venzuela and, if you remember the advance into Ecuador, it is about to connect up with the south as well.
The enemy naval bombers are back again but as you can see they are looking very sorry for themselves. They have managed to inflict a fair amount of damage to a few ships but nothing that cannot be repaired. This may put a few ships in dock but after a little reorganising we should be fielding unscratched ships.

Even the strategic bombers are trying to get in the act (US aircraft, Mexican flagged due to the interceptors). I'm beginning to feel the air threat may be under control but the landings in Central America have been a bit like kicking a hornet's nest.

Oh dear, they are back. Well they only have 10 type IV battleships and I have the entire Caribbean fleet. Not a good stacking modifier but the carriers do manage to guarantee the first hour is at range. Then everyone closes to generally hurling of massive quantities of shells at silhouettes briefly seen in the darkness and rain. Close to maximally imperfect conditions for any sort of battle.

Finally the big question is answered. The 38 CV group is here and heading directly towards the German landing fleet. Obviously I needed more distant air patrols but this wasn't really practical.
Brief bombing results in a little damage to the top carrier and my TACs. Not enough to stop anything.

Meanwhile we have more air combat in the Caribbean but we can also see the enemy BB fleet has turned around and is heading north. From the look of it they are heading due north suggesting that they are leaving the area rather than pursuing further naval engagement. This is probably good, as I would prefer to get the land situation under control before reorganising for a naval extermination campaign.
