Fatal Error, please report Deus Vult

Was playing when my king got into a crusade, then asked me to join, which I did, all my kingdome did. So lots of troops appeared on the map, then he asked me to show my loyality and declare on some islamic ruler, which I did, then a pop up tells me an Islamic king declares war on me, suddenly - The game Freeze.

Alt+Tab got me to windows where a little pop-up said

So, what's the problem here? I got both crusader kings and deus vult from gamersgate today, installed CK, then DV, then I started to play.

I've managed to fix my problem I've just made a clear installation of CK. But at this moment, I didn't directly install DV like previously. Prior to this, I install the 1.05 patch. And only after, I've installed DV. Now CK/DV doesn't crash after 10/20 years of play

Maybe this "method" can also solve your problems.

I'm not 100% if I read you correctly, but I installed a clean CD version of CK -> 1.05 -> DV and I've been getting these fatal errors after about 10 or so years of play.

And I just crashed with a fatal error now - excerpt from exceptions.log

I just had my first freeze and crash as well, in 1101 as Byzantium. I wasn't doing anything at the time, just letting the game run. Crusades are on, and Egypt and the Seljuks are battling each other.

At least a full working week or so for reaction would be an industry norm and a few extra weeks for a patch. I'd wager Paradox does better than that though.

I've had a few of these as well. Mostly seems to happen at the end of the month. Had one that happened when I selected at courtier though.

I get these too. I installed Deus Vult on a clean cd-install. I guess that would be version 1.0. I haven't found any patterns in the crashes. Seems to happen in all areas of the gameplay or for some reason that is not obvious to the player.

Mostly seems to happen at the end of the month.

Lag at the end of the month increases over time, and has ultimately resulted in one crash for me. I have had no crashes on my computer at work, and very little lag; the only problem is when CK is windowed and I throw more than one window in front of it (I have 2 screens). This results in an entire meltdown.

My computer at home is the one that has crashed once. I only have 512 RAM, but judging from posters here THAT does not seem to be the difference between performance, nor does the video card as there is little difference between my home and work cards. The difference seems to be in processing (what with the end of the month lag this makes sense). My computer at home is a slow 1.99 (I say slow because my windows needs to be knifed in the back and clean installed). My work computer is 2.79, and the game has fewer issues.

Oh, and BE PATIENT DAMMIT. The game was released 4 work days ago.

Count yourselves lucky, I get this when ever I try to start a game. So unfortunately while repeatable I can't fwd a save game as I can't save(or start for that matter).

Sucks, gonna try a few things, but it was off a fresh CK->1.05->DV install and all three times I tried before I came here were with duchies. For what its worth.

Edit:Happens with all scenarios and all demense levels. Gonna try a fresh install.

Edit:No luck, tried a fresh install CK->1.05->DV and I get the same problem.
