Fatal Error: Could not initialize video?

Ok I've been having trouble with starting up ARMA 1.1. the game will start fine if I've just rebooted the computer , but CTD when I atl-tab out of Arma to my desktop. When i try to start Arma back up (this is even if i exit the game normally and theres no alt tab CTD) the intros movies all play at a hugely reduced resolution (this doesn't happen when starting up the game just after a reboot) then after the both movies play , or i skip them , my monitor try for like 30 seconds to auto adjust is resolution. the screen flickers a few times then the
"Fatal Error: Could not initialize video" warning pops up and the game CTD.

I'm no try to run the game in window mode or any thing , which can cause the error to happen (from what i read). I can fix it temporally by uninstalling then cleaning my registry and re-installing but the problem comes back very quickly.

Okay,

Let me guess -- you are running Vista.

1. If you really dont need the intro movies you can skip them entirely by renaming the AVI folder to AVIBack.

2. Alt-Tabbing out of Arma (especially if you are running Vista) causes Vista to go into Basic display mode. I highly recommend that you do not do this unless you have to.

3. I am wondering if you video drivers are installed properly. I can assist you with that if you post the information that i request at the bottom of my post.

4. You should not have to reinstall anything to get this to work again. Just reboot and everything should be fine.

1. already try to delete them , but it didn't help the problem
2. I'm running xp , but i've never had any troubles alt tabing out of ARMA before
3. Ok , I'll post 'em
4. the game will work after a reboot but only once, so if i exit the game for any reason then come back and start the game up i get the error , reinstalling fixed the error for a short time it came back after about 5-6 game restarts

Edit it seem the dxdag.txt is too big to post ....

Post only the part of the DXDiag that goes down to Sound.... after sound that doesnt matter.
