My dude is living forever and I am about to destroy a bunch of Duchies, revoke Duchy title of my idiot son and alienate everyone else. My guy is 69 and has had the "stressed' trait for like 15 years. After I make this mess, I need to make sure he dies before the kingdom revolts.

I can change my focus, but right now it's on business focus where it's been for a long time. I'm Agnatic-Cognatic Elective, so I'll be passing the title on to my sister who is 56, who will hopefully live long enough so she can pass the kingship down to my youngest son who is only 5 but has excellent stats. I wanted to limit the amount of time the country would be ruled under a regent as the stat loss would mean I'd have to give up several of my counties.

There is an event for courtiers or sons that says "Go and get it" that creates a rival and gives the ambitious trait. Later as adults, put one of them as your spymaster and you are dead. If you want, choose martial focus and duel all of your rivals because there will be a lot. Sooner or later you will get killed or maimed :)

Rulership focus has a decent chance of giving depressed, at which point you can then commit suicide.

Thanks!

With conclave, the negative opinion towards the predecesseo (or part of it) carries over to the new ruler. If anything, you should do a full NK purge and then create and land new courtiers through the decisions.

What is an NK purge?
