Yeah sorry guys, I messed up. Completely missed TheMeInTeam post and thought toroltao was talking about indika_tates' post (mistook what was regarded as the second post). I posted this while in a pretty foul mood and while not trying to be rude it clearly leaked into the tone of the text.

No biggie, I seem to get into harsh language mode when in those kinds of debates too. DIP 3 vs 2 discussion will be interesting though, I'm often not sold on which I'd rather do. Maybe now that the colony to seize is in Caribbean (and not arid with -growth at DIP 2 like it was in 1.7 seizing arid African stuff) you want to stay DIP 2 to start sooner, but DIP 3 does let you get more range for colonization on your own continent which you also want to do and now 1.9 is buffing colonizing tropical in general.
Colonies in the Americas will autocore.
Yes, but will you actually still be able to seize them? We've seen all kinds of stealth nerfs, buffs, and changes before. For example, look at -core cost from claims now.
