I play City Skylines with all updates (both for DLCs installed and game).

I am having a problem using Farming. I used a tutorial video by Ricky King (@RickyKingPlays Facebook) which goes step-by-step.

I have no problem creating the Farming Zone with roads. I can place Auxiliary buildings, BUT when I go to the next step of placing Extractor buildings I get a message "Not industrial zone" and cannot place the building next to a road.

What's going on? What am I doing wrong?

Make sure the building entrance is actually inside the industrial area, and not only the road you're building it on.

If you place an industry zone main building in an area that isn't already marked as an industry area, it will make a small area around the perimeter of the building. Make sure you properly paint your industry area first, or use the brush to expand the area around the main building.

I was Zoning an industry area. That sounds like the mistake I am making since your statement matches the video I referenced.

Thanks.....
