This is the latest incantation of these events. I wanted to seperate them from the iberian discussion till the inital ones atleast get finished.

There are only two events i haven't added, msotly the movement of the capials to the new world if the northern provinces fall as that might not have as much historic relevance. The main reason for them would be to keep the instant empire effect from happening in not come completely silly manner for anyone, not just Granada, if it becomes powerful.

If the capital moved to Toledo, why would the country still be named :Granada:?wouldnt it be better to just form a new country like say into CRD - Cordoba or at least boradly into al-Andalus.

Actually i'd really prefer the capital not be moved (and the event to move the capital should have the choices reversed). Its not likely the government capital would have moved with the conquest of Toledo, perhaps the religious capital, however i doubt it would have remainsed so for long if Granada continued to expand. Just as the center of religious power shifted around in other areas, Iberia is no exception either.

Actually there's a number of places a COT could have been relocated likely imo, all in southern iberia.

Toledo is certainly one possibility, but not the most likely. Grenada, Sevilla and Gibraltar are also likely contenders.

There is none...so it would haveto be made up. The only restrictions would be those pertaining to general sunni islam (no images of anything Allah could create, no blasphemous statements or some such) and as far as colors as follows:

Thus i would go with red and maybe white.

Other things to condisider:
5 pointed stars are common, but a 7-pointed star (symbolising the seven fundamental verses of the first Surah of the Qu'ran) is acceptable.

The crescent which appears so often nowadays on islamic flags should probably not be used. The most widely held belief is that this was a symbol taken orginially by the Byzantium Empire and then later by the Ottoman Empire after it conquered it. Subsequent Islamic nations have used it since then.

However there are other theories, but the fact remains until 1453 no islamic nation used the cescent, and that would include the crescent and star combination.

List of what needs to be done:
  1. Corodinate the existing events together so they are more seemless
  2. Create capital/tag moving events for Portugal and Spain/Castile to Brazil/Mexico respectively (as a last resort for them). This will help prevent an instant grandan empire for a likely human player (something very unhistorical) in the most ahistorical manner likely in such a fantasical world.
  3. Create 2 flags for Resurgant Granda and Caliphate of Granada, if not atleast one for the latter
  4. figure out a better historic placement for capital of castile/spain (it was agreed the placement was not the best in the AGC-EEP: Iberian Peninsula thread). It was also mainly placed there for the fact that toledo had gold. that was the only justifable reason given.
  5. some more events for granada if it survives
  6. some politcal tension events for granda especially if both Ottomans and Granada claim the title of Caliph

Ohh... and the reason why I delayed the posting of my events was that I intended to remove Castillian (Iberian) culture from the starting setup of Granada. Rather provinces should change culture to Berber like in the events I've posted above.

On those culture events, i'm not sure if that's the best way to do them. We have several ways to deal with culture spread including using the engine. In any case, there shouldn't be refugees in most of the areas except maybe Cordoba and Toledo, or atleast on that number. What could be done is some genocide events (which were not uncommon for chrisitans to use against muslims) to clear out some populations with a push toward narrowmindedness and/or different numbers of people fleeing depending upon how narrowminded Granada was.

EDIT: And to create a more "stabel" Iberian peninsula once Granada has taken their cores (by removing the cores of Portugal and Castil).

Ok, but i would likely remove such cores when they move their capitals to NA or in some sort of fantasy treaty.

As to refugees, again i'd make that based on immeditate ownership or control (probably the former) and base the number on Granada's innovativeness and sefdom (more the latter, but a atleast 6 innovative before the numbers start going down should be needed(. I'm saying this because under a historical spain or portugal the peasant class would likely fare better, even the chrisitan peasant class as long as they don't feel too oppressed under Granadian rule.
