I've been playing Fantasia as my first game, and am up to 1700.

Two things seem strange:

1. I haven't seen any events so far. Is Fantasia so ahistorical
that they don't apply?

2. My monarch seems to be immortal. This is highly
advantageous, since all his ratings are high, but seems to be
unfair vs the AI countries (esp. the Mamelukes:D )

Any comments would be appreciated.

One out-of-topic question:

Are there any problems with using EU1 scenarios with EU2? I'm a Byzantine buff, and would like to try those.

Thanks,
Genghis

If the country you are playing runs out of historical monarchs the last one lives forever. The same applies to the other Campaigns.

Anyways, my real question is....why play fantasia at all ? :D
Why not do something meaningful instead...like standing on your head or see how much shaving foam you can amount in your left ear ? :)

Well, with the new editor you could probably come up with something playable.

Thanks for the comments: I'm still enjoying the game, even if it is abstract. Consider it a step up from Risk or Supremacy, if you know that game. And maybe it's easier to learn some of the mechanics with a relatively empty world...Not too sure about the shaving cream, though.

Too bad about the EUI scenarios; some of them sounded fun. I had my doubts, though, if only on account of religion.
