Great idea; poor follow-though. Maybe I am missing something, I thought this was the race that wants to REMOVE all other life in the universe. Oddly though when I was doing a run though I felt more like I was playing a improved version of wack a mole. Let me explain, I had an empire to my north that I could cleanse down to 1 planet then after 10 years I would have to go to war with them to take them back down to one planet. If i made them a vassal would have to watch as they retook and expanded only to let them go and do it all over again. I kept trying to find the "Cleanse empire x" in the war demands screen sadly though I am fairly sure that it is not there. Any good way to "remove" an empire permanently short of making them a vassal, integrating them and then purging them off?

Conquer their worlds and - if you want to keep them - resettle your pops onto them. As a Fanatical Purifier, you'll automatically purge the xenos on the planets you conquer and you'll gain unity from doing it, too.

Are you unable to set cleanse/claim goals for all of their worlds? Perhaps with some research into wargoal cost reduction you may be able to take everything in a single war. Supremacy traditions also reduce the cost of cede planet goals.

Alternately, colonize the worlds or build frontier outposts to choke them with your amazing border range?

imo, they should've made Fanatic Purifiers more akin to one of the end game crisis.

Now what I imagine with this is that the armageddon bombardment gets buffed to infinity and allows you to outright wipe planets after years of bombardment. That way you can just remain at war forever and bombard them to extinction.

With Armageddon bombardment one would think you could remove all life from the planet though that would remove the need for an army.
you have no idea how much I want this to be a thing. I hate ground invasions, and just nuking them and then spending the resources to develop the colony from scratch would totally be worth it.

That is literally what Wiz said he intends to do. Alongside removing Diplomacy entirely from FanPurifiers and making them be at permanent war with every other species.
However, the issue is the current mechanics of Stellaris neither allow balanced planet-destruction/exterminatus, nor infinite wars.

Thus it's fair to assume Purifiers will get another rework once Wiz gets to implementing these things, I would wager around 1.7.

The fastest way to get rid of an enemy empire would be to choose the cede planet wargoal for the capital planet and the cleanse planet wargoal for all of their other planets.

As a larger overhaul may take some time, a "fix" for the moment could be an increased chance to kill pops with the armageddon bombardement. Atm it has the same chance as full bombardement.

My greatest disappointment with the fanatical purifiers is that none of them quoted the Daleks when they're probably the most famous omnicidal society in fiction.

I just really want one of the Fanatical Purifiers to just shout "EXTERMINATE" at me repeatedly.

I also would have thought that FPs would be far more aggressive than they are in the game. And that they'd be a lot faster about purging conquered people.

I think this is also a part of the problem; fan purifiers almost seem thrown in to some extent. I do not know about you for me having anything that says "diplomacy" when I am playing a race that can not do any diplomacy (even with traders, scholars, or artisans) seems kind of pointless to me. While Ceding planets and auto purge will work, the main hope I had when playing this race was the ability to "remove" empires at will rather then have a long process at it.

So, I made two Ur-Quan empires. One green, the slaving Hierarchy of the Battle Thralls, the other black - the murderous Kohr-Ah Matriarchy. When I play as Kohr-Ah, my green siblings still hate me for being purifier. But if I play as Kzer-Za (green ones) the purifiers are really friendly. Still cannot do any diplomacy with them.

That is exclusively due to the limitations by Stellaris current engine and gameplay. I.e. Truces and DoWs are diplomacy, but, as elaborated, Wiz didn't see a way to make Purifiers ignore those without breaking the game in horrible ways.

the main goal is to REMOVE the other empires from the map.
no. only xenos. you're ok with the species ftom your own race. be it random encountered "other humans" or vassals that became tired of war and you let them split from your empire.
You can never cleanse/liberate somebody's capital.
technically you can, now that the war score for bombardment is gone.
Alongside removing Diplomacy entirely from FanPurifiers and making them be at permanent war with every other species.
not entirely and not every. only xenos :D that's the big difference.

The problem is mainly with the unity traditions for the fanatical purifiers (FP), spending unity for diplomacy at all is pointless for FP. This is the aspect of the game that feels a bit rushed to me; the unity system itself. Granted I understand that the system is huge and the overall ascension perks are what paradox wants us to be working toward It would be nice in the future if they could have traditions that were tailored to your race. I am not talking of a "random" card system like what we have for research.
