actually, i think the necro fanatic purifier is the only viable purifier in 3.0?
Early game sucks, lower own growth and worker output, but once in mid-late game, other FP growth stops with the growth stagnation, while necro could still get new pops with the necro purge
but i think the current 3.0 is a huge nerf to any type of empires that need own growth as 0 use of conquered pops.
I would agree turning pops immediately into your main species is definitely worth it even with the debuffs for workers and the growth penalties.

Interestingly, FP Necros growth is not THAT bad considering you have +3 from the growth curve. It might still be a pretty decent build even played "legit" as devs intended. Competing with Driven Assimilator will be hard, but you still invade primitive worlds for a bunch of pops immediately, which has the new side effect of getting you close to optimal S-curve growth on new planets. Another +20% growth can be fairly quickly obtained from tech and expansion ideas, bringing you another +1.2

(please try to blot out the digusting clerks being employed, I assure you this is merely a test game and such a travesty would never happen in a real game)

I would have given you a like but since you employed these clerks it can only be a dislike. Am not making the rules just following them.
