Have you ever been elected fan of the week, and then not posted a single comment for a week?
I really do feel quite ashamed of myself for that.

The traditions here are to recommend new, and well made AARs, but I figured that If I recommend places that most people here probably never have read, it should serve the same purposes, right?

  • In the shadow of certain, painful death: Abyssnia, By @Philo32b. It is quite possibly the reason I read anything, because at the time, I found it completely hilarious. The game consists of politrickery on the level of @El Pip's Slovakia game, which I would recommend, but its practically required reading for video game commentary anyway. It's a CK2 game taking place as the king of ethiopia, where the objective of the game is to continue to survive, while quite literally surrounded by enemies. I quite reccomend giving it a read through, even if you just want to laugh about some poor sods undying failure
  • Subcontinental Subtleties: An experimental cmoic AAR, By @Selzro. I might just be a sucker for comedies and underdog stories, but this really did feel hilarious, and even though I can remember the interesting story, I quite enjoyed the running gags and all of the character development. Subcontinental subtleties is a comic based victoria 2 AAR playing as Punjab. The gameplay consists of forming and reuniting india by force, but the main purpose is to make some of the funnier jokes I've read
  • France: an operational Hail Mary is a Hoi3 France AAR by @Mortal Phoenix, and a damm good one at that! though at the same time, it does appear that most readers here might have already read it, but it is a recommended read, which can only be summed up with the phrase: V.E. day in 1940
I need to give this crown to someone else, Its breaking my neck; Having originally binged talking turkey in five days, I have to admit that it takes an absurd force of will to speed through the magnum opus of the legend @Bullfilter, and to be capable of maintaining spoiler free communication with the front at the same time would take more out of it than I could ever do, and as such, I will this crown to the glorious magnate, @Midnite Duke! Please, take the crown, its breaking my neck...

Congrats @Midnite Duke , a well-deserved awAARd. Thanks for the suggestions @37th Armoured div .

Don’t worry, it was mainly me falling off the hoi3 train onto the eu4 wagon. Sorry if I made you think otherwise.
Don't worry, that comment was in jest, I never really thought I chased you away somehow, though it is nice to have some closure on where you disappeared to and why. I'm sure EUIV AAR's are a lot of fun, I've read a few myself, without even owning the game...

Many congratulations @Midnite Duke ! Great fun to have around the place, and as @Wraith11B says an ardent bestower of likes.

I’m also deeply chastened to hear that it is possible to read Talking Turkey in only 5 days seeing as it’s taken me about seven months to read half of it! (Sorry @Bullfilter :D)

In the shadow of certain, painful death is an absolute cracker of a worker and I can only heartily endorse this recommendation. Of all the imitators of Inevitable Defeat it is one of the best.

And to our new winner I can only say congratulations indeed @Midnite Duke :)

@37th Armoured div, thank you very much for honoring me. I hope that you realize by honoring me that you will have a role in a future Avon adventure. I am going to mention a few AARs. The two that currently on my navigation bar are @Bullfilter's Talking Turkey (for six months and I will probably catch up in another six) and @Nikolai's Old World twitch stream (I can read Norwegian well but hear Norwegian badly). You can find by reading his Chronicles of Poland and following the link. I also made my first Stellaris read with @Cora Giantkiller.

Thank you @Bullfilter, @roverS3, @Nikolai, @Macavity116, @Specialist290, @Eurasia, @generalis Julius Caesar, @Wraith11B, @TheAnguishedOne, @RustyHunter, @DensleyBlair, @Idhrendur, @tpmcinty, @The Number 9 and @El Pip for the kind words of congratulations. Most have appeared in at least one Avon adventure, so I will not promise (threaten) to add you to the adventures. Please send me a message or a comment on Avon if I can use you.

My nomination for the next Fan of the Week is one who goes beyond the like and insightful comment to adding photos and base knowledge. @diskoerekto, enjoy your week of fame.
