Thanks to @TheAnguishedOne , @coz1 , @Idhrendur , @HistoryDude , @Bullfilter , @El Pip , and @Specialist290 !

I'm glad my comments are appreciated, and I've really enjoyed reading so many excellent AARs. I've been a bit behind on trying out new stories, and there are too many excellent works for me to list them all, so you'll have to forgive me for not giving a recommendation for AARs.

I'd like to pass this award on to @SSmith ! It looks like it's only been since 2011, so some recognition is more than due! Thanks so your insightful comments on my AARs, and thanks for all your work on the Historical Plausibility Project. That mod inspired me to start writing AARs, and your support has been invaluable!

Thus I would like to extend the next Fan of the Week to Historywhiz who has continued to follow my own works and as I see many of yours as well. I hope this honor may cause more words because they are always valued! What is it that stnylan says? "To view is human. To comment is divine."

So if you're chosen, you know I'm here waiting for you
I'm just a cross-hair, I'm just a shot away from you
But if I am late, I know my failure, shattered I lie
I'm just a word-mancAAR, just a word conjurAAR, then the words can die
Oh, oh, oh
I know I won't be leaving you alone

You say, don't you know?
I say, no I don't know
You say: You are late
I say, sorry for being late
Don't move, time is slow
I say: Here to celebrate

Well, I say, you don't know
You say, you don't know
I say: I am always late
If I stop, words could die
If I drop, dreams could die
I still want to celebrate

I know I won't be leaving you alone
I know I won't be leaving the fan
I know I’ll be congratulating @Historywhiz

I say, don't you know?
You say, you don't know
I say: Here to celebrate
If I wane, words could die
If I wait, dreams could die
I still want to celebrate
If I stop, words could die
If I drop, dreams could die
Come on, (let’s) celebrate

I know I won't be leaving you alone
I know I won't be leaving the fan
I know I won't be leaving the words without the music
I know I’ll be congratulating Historywhiz [*]

Hopefully not a sarcasm, but genuine feelings. Catchy melody, in any case; cheers, and once again (belated) cheers for the fan, @Historywhiz!
Sorry that’s me being uncharacteristically British. I meant every word. Love that song.

In appreciation and encouragement of this willingness then, and with profuse thanks and praise for everyone who voted for me once again, I hereby announce that the next Fan of the Week is Superstorm!
But! I did have a successor lined up before life whisked me away. I want to give my nomination to RustyHunter.

Life is empty, words I conjure of the moon anytime before,
On a plain lit cold June, see it evermore,
Gliding through this life, and then come the fans,
and we're playing games, and losing things,
Always writing comments.

Somewhere in the sky, where the moon the stars shine bright,
Where the sun is shining, in the night.
I am in disgrace, yet I see smiling faces,
and I hope you let me congratulate.

[*]

Rain in the sky, make the world fly,
Into time, beg me your time.
Sun in the sky, make the world fly,
Into time, beg me your time.

@Superstorm in the sky, make the words fly,
Into time, I congratulate the fan.
@RustyHunter in the sky, make the words fly,
Into time, I celebrate the fan.

Well, I lived in magic solitude
Of cloudy-looking mountains
And a lake made out of crystal raindrops ...
Roaming through Net tenthousand years ago
I've seen the giant forum of AARland
Soaring through
eternal waves of darkness...

Somewhere in the blue distance
Are those long-forgotten trees of yore
A broken violin floating alone in June
Darkness everywhere and nothing more.

Fanslate to celebrate – Melancholy
Painting torrid colours to a sky of green
Candle breathing one night only
Far away – in chillness – bleak – unseen...

Drifting galley – ghostlike shadow,
Set sail for Superstorm and Rustyhunter...
Echoes wandering down an endless meadow

To call the Fans...
[**]
Fly... Fly to the rainbow... Far away... So far away...

I'd like to pass this award on to SSmith! It looks like it's only been since 2011, so some recognition is more than due! I am walking to a master
A real master of the trade
At the border of the village
Feels like ten miles away

Hate to pull the chunky handcart
Where potholes are everywhere
Step by step I'm coming closer
To the end of this way

Listen to the smite on the anvil
A fire from afar
When @SSmith is stroking
Clanger in the dark
When the iron is glowing
Going up in flames
Extinguish the fire
Wall of smother and sparks the fan can tame
SSmith just shapes the comments

I can sense the smell of metal
In that dire armoury
Never seen so many words
Straight rows - polished and clean

At this place I'm feeling queasy
'cause I am just a knave
Have to bear away the armour
Back on dangerous ways

Listen to the smite on the keyboard
A dazzling-word from afar
When SSmith is typing
Creating
in the dark
When the words are glowing
Going up in flames
Extinguish the fire
Wall of smother and sparks the fan can tame
And I just walk there to congratulate

[*]

Thank you @filcat!

Well, it has been a week and I believe it is now my duty to pass this award on... My choice is one of a handful of regular and prolific commentators in the works I am currently reading, someone whose contributions are both insightful and entertaining, and someone who hasn't won this award in a while. My nominee for 'fan of the week' is @nuclearslurpee!
