During a recent game I was asked by one Agnes of Austria I think it was, to give my daughter Catriona of Ireland away. Naturally I grew suspicious when asked by a male with a name like that.

Is this unintentional? Never heard of any male Agnes´s before..

Sorry, but in my whole life I´ve never seen or read of any german with name of Agnes. It is definetly a bug, not a terrible one, but it would be great if it could be fixed. Who did you actually think of in german history, that had the name Agnes? I recall that there is for ex. "Maria" as a second name also for males, but definetly not as first !

Oh no, don´t tell me that the anglo-saxons called their male heirs Agnes. Nooooooooooo...this is definetly strange. Surviving one day as a male in school with name Agnes and you should get a bonus on "martial"...damn there were few schools in that age, so forget about that.

"Agnes" is a re-spelling of the Latin "agnus", which of course means "lamb".

Any parents who named their son thus... /shakes head.

It's almost as bad as a "Boy Named Sue".

Well, my familyname would be best translated as flagelator. There may be some truth in that :rofl: . I´m so happy that my first name is just the shortened form of Ludwig and my parents had not the idea of naming me Agnes .

It's better that they are called Agnes than Unnamed as the game seems to have a habit of calling people.
