I was thinking. Since my mother does geneology, would it be nice to have a family tree of your dynasty. A little program that woudl create it up to the minuate or after it is all over.

I'm in the early stages of working on such a program now. When finished, it will translate a CK save game file into GEDCOM format, which can be read by most commercially available genealogy software. I'll post details as it progresses.

A family tree option would be very useful, because after you have played 30-40 years, your family relations are completely confused due to the lot of marriages...

Personal Ancestral File (or PAF for short) is a commercial-quality program that the Latter Day Saints make available free of charge on their website: familysearch.org

I've been using a program called GenoPro, which is available as freeware on the internet (there is a popup each time you use it asking you to register it, but it is fully functional). It can use the GEDCOM files that MacRaith talked about.

Quite a few, I'd guess. I use The Master Genealogist myself

Oh man, I love you guys!!
First of all, I've been manually entering my stuff into a program called Ancestry Family Tree then importing the .Gencom files into FamTree to make pretty output stuff. Both programs are free. FamTree is the only program that I've seen that will give you an honest-to-goodness family TREE diagram, instead of just a list of people. I have a commercial Genealogy program... SOMEWHERE around here.

Anywayz... I'm a bit of a programmer myself, but I've never touched Paradox material myself, so if any of you programmers out there are interested in giving me a hand, I'd love to see if we can put our noggins together and make a Family Tree program for CK. There is a program for that already, even though it doesn't list marriages, titles or anything like that, and needs a bit of time to use (well, few minutes more than usual to figure out how it works):
