Map updated on the stats post (and downloadable from http://img707.imageshack.us/img707/8116/loremap.png). Waiting for your oppinions

BTW, I would also like your thoughts about:

1- When we should start the game and set the 1st turn deadline
2- If its ok to start adding minievents (I have the first wave written) or we should wait.

1: We should wait some days. Until the Sunday, or Monday, to wait for new players. We could fill the three empties factions easily...
2: Yes, I think we could start with the minievents n.n

Well apparently to the cartographers, we Great Khans were able to pack up overnight and move a distance of a bajillion miles straight to Neeeeew Vegas. Looks like we're living right next to the Legions and NCR! We invite Caesar to our yurts for a big gecko barbecue, if he's not too busy with all that old timey fancy-pants stuff.

The Enclave should have bases in the West too. I'd rather see the raiders have control over much more of the wastelands or no control at all but be able to strike anywhere. Has the BoS so much control on central US? (Sorry for being a pain)

Yes, I know...but to be lore friendly, Khans must be near New Vegas and not in Illinois. However, if you want your former territories, I will think of a solution.

The Enclave should have bases in the West too. I'd rather see the raiders have control over much more of the wastelands or no control at all but be able to strike anywhere. Has the BoS so much control on central US? (Sorry for being a pain)

1- Enclave should have them, true, but won´t. IMO, giving them the ability to strike in both coasts is too much, specially when taking into consideration that their bases are secret and therefore difficult to attack by other factions.

2- Theorically, BoS has not so much territory, but it is a compensation for having "deleted" the Eastern BoS. And also, mind that the map is orientative...

3- Raiders are able to strike anywhere in the west coast. From stats: "Although they lack a regular army, Raiders have the capacity to strike all over the Wastelands."

4- You are not a pain. You are Mr. House

I'll take Red Waste. I'd also be happy to help a bit with the modding, if you need it (more time opened up).

EST (GMT -5, I think).

The thing about the Mid-Western BoS though is that they are integrating a lot with non-BoS (which other BoS factions consider heretical), so them having their BoS-style high tech in addition to being more cooperative with normal people and even non humans (offering protection, accepting new members, etc.) has allowed them to cover a great area. http://images.wikia.com/fallout/images/4/4a/FOT_MWBOS_reach.png They might not be as powerful as one could think from the map though, since they are in the more sparsely populated mid-west.

Eh, it feels like its part of the nature of the Enclave that they'd be a bit spread out. I'd have nothing against them becoming stronger in that manner.

FUSA

fusaghoul.jpg

Although formally a democratic faction, the FUSA has lots of things to improve regarding freedom or equality. Amongst them is the situation of ghouls, victims of heavy radiation with zombie-like appearance but that have retained normal intelligence. Today, Desmond Lockheart has asked for an audience with the President of the FUSA. As a representative of all Ghouls in FUSA territory, Lockheart will ask the President that full citizenship is granted to all ghouls residents in the FUSA.

Granting this citizenship can cause great upheaval as lots of humans see ghouls as a subrace…but can the President risk losing such important manpower pool? What will he decide?

"I've been around for a long goddamn time.", Desmond Lockheart.

In New Vegas, crime runs rampant between the different families: Omertas, White Glove Society, Kings, Chairmen… All of them fight recklessly on the streets for dominion over the Strip. However, it has not been bad for the business, as visitors see Casinos as the only safe place where one can stay.

“Tourists” and those inhabitants who can afford it spend their days and nights at those Casinos…except for the Lucky 38, still close and silent. However, it is said that its mysterious owner may have something to say about that power struggle…but what?

SUPERMUTANTS

mutantslily.jpg

All over the mutant camps, word is spreading fast. A blue mutant has appeared! A female blue mutant! And not only he is special, but also seems a little….unstable, to say the less. Other mutants have often listened how she talks with an absent mutant called Leo, who tries to convince her of chopping…things.

However, she also talks about others like her, and about a place where they can be found. Some mutants believes that it is just nonsense, but others notice that her words have some kind of coherence and a group of scouts should be sent. Some others believe that she is just a freak of nature, and that she should be expelled from their territories. But the question is…what will Gamorrin do?

"Didn't your mother ever taught you that it is polite for an old lady carry her bags?", Lily Bowen

This are single nation events. Each of these 3 players may send 1 extra order to act as he thinks best, obviously just related with the contents of these reports. Unless told otherwise, the orders to this events must not be sent by PM, they must be posted in the thread.

In this case, Mr. House can (and should) send his order as a PM.

Three new mini events will be added tomorrow. Hope you like it!

Good! I sent you a PM.

Ok, but Id like to know Syriana´s oppinion about that.

Orders sent. Maybe you should ask some native English speaker to re-read your text, which is really good but there are a few mistakes that ruin the immersion. Great update nonetheless, the Strip is going to see changes.

Yes, I normally parse them on a Grammar Checker Ive got, but I was distracted and forgot so. Doing it now!

edit: Corrected some mistakes, if you see more dont hesitate to tell me so (and probably there are more). The main problem is that relaying in another person could dely the game in some moments, specially if i have something planned for an specific time.

(OOC: I don't get Maryland? My precious homeland, cursed to barbarians.))

"Let me tell you how it is, you want something, you are gonna have to work at it." Speaker of the House Candice Wheat, often referred to as just 'President Wheat' gave a skeptical look over this ghoul in front of her as she gently puffed a ciggy and rolled it between her fingers. She had never been elected President but the office, such as it was defaulted to her by the laws of presidential secession. And so long as her canny political instincts kept her speaker of the house, she could get comfortable in this role. She was making herself comfortable right now, kicking her feet up on the presidential desk (a relic from before the war) as she went on.

"Hey, I figure you folks deserve citizenship as much as anyone else. But it ain't the good old days when you can get something just by deserving it. You guys want universal citizenship? Well I want to kick the marauders out of New York. And I'm gonna need a group of tough, reliable folk to live there and serve in the militia to defend the place. I got some humans willing to do it but they'd have a lot better shot with you lot at their side. So how about it, mister ghoul? You fight for the good old stars and stripes in New York and the good old stars and stripes will fight for you in congress, get that citizenship you deserve. Prove yourselves to the humans and maybe we can get them to appreciate you lot a little more."

Actions:
Recruit ghouls and humans to form a colony in the ruins of New York
Ready the FUSA military to clear the marauders out
Direct the army core of engineers to assemble a workcrew to restore factories in New York once the city is retaken
Assemble some shipping to create a supply route between New York and Boston.

Wow, not so fast! We only need 1 order for this minievent, the general orders will be needed a little later when the game officially starts (after the weekend). So, unless you tell me otherwise, Ill keep "Recruit ghouls and humans to form a colony in the ruins of New York" as the reaction for the mnievent and ignore the other orders (they can be resent to me after the deadline has veen set).

Ill wait for your answer and also for the Supermutants´ minievent order to update the resolution of this minievent #1.

Gamorrin, or Latham, threw his head back laughing when his first lieutenant told him about the strange "lady". A laughing which came to sudden halt when his lieutenant moved to reveal her coming through the door. He listened to the blue mutant's story, about Leo and this other place, where there are more of her. He looked at his lieutenant and said squarely "She may be raving mad, but if there is any truth in what she's saying we'd be absolute fools to pass up the chance. Assemble a scouting squad to follow her, or her directions anyway, but tell them to be wary of her and anyone else they might meet."

(Event order: Assemble a scouting squad to follow her/her directions to the location where you can find more of her kind)

FUSA

185px-Kyle_Edwards.jpg

" You want something? Earn it!", such could be President Wheat´s motto. In what appears to be a clever decision, Wheat has promised that ghouls will be granted citizenship as long as they cooperate with the FUSA objectives.

It seems that Wheat´s first ambition is to retake the city of NY....and it is not an easy task. The former NY City is now thrown into chaos: mutants and raiders fight for the streets, the underground is full of creatures, and it may take years to make the city habitable...so proper preparation is needed. With this in mind, the so-called President has demanded the ghouls to cooperate and form a new Army, capable of supporting radiation until the city and its surroundings are depolluted. Although Lockheart would thinks they should be granted citizenship just because they deserve it, he understands that this opportunity cannot be given away and accepts the proposition. (You can now also build ghoul divisions, which have a +10% org bonus and are not affected by radiation, but cannot be used to occupy civilized cities or settlements).

However, some humans consider this a terrible decision, and refuse to cooperate with the President´s plan and declare a general strike. Everybody knows that this strike wont take long, as nobody can afford too many days without working for a living, but dissent will be still present for some time. (-1 orders next turrn).

MR.HOUSE

1117falloutnewvegaslucky38mini0310201101.jpg
A rumour is spreading through the wastelands: something is happening in the Strip. Wanderers speak of unseen violence, mutant raids, vertibirds, killer robots and gang fights. Nobody knows for certain what is really happening inside New Vegas stockade, but it seems that some order is being restored. In the outskirts of the city, some workers have been seen, apparently plowing fields and designing some sort of irrigation system. In Novac, a new pamphlet is going from hand to hand advertising a new casino: the Lucky 38. (Reserved stats)

SUPERMUTANTS

NightkinFOBOS.png
After assembling an Elite Squad to follow Lily and try to find what is she speaking of, a group of mutants finally arrives to Black mountain, the place Lily believed to be home of those blue mutants (Cannot use the Elite Division next turn).

The squad leader feels fear for the first time in his "life", as the whole brigade is surrounded by a group of blue mutants that seems to appear from nowhere. However, they do not seem hostile, and although they speak with the same oddities as Lily, they ask for a place to live amongst the supermutants. They are escorted back to the mutants settlement and interrogated, but few is achieved and lots of questions remain in the air. However, they do not seem dangerous at all, and thus are allowed to live in with their "equals". (Gain a Nightkin squad, capable of infiltrating enemy lines but very weak and disorganized: -15%org, -10% morale).

This decision is not very well accepted, and some mutants decide to abandon the settlement; however they just go away for a few days, kill and stomp everything they find and return home (-1 order this turn). But the question lies unanswered: from where did the Nightkin come?

Minievent ended. New minievent concerning other factions will be posted on saturday/sunday. Also, stats updated and rules clarified. I tried to give you better rules (see 1st post/rules/4,5,6) but suggestions will be appreciated (I think they are clear now, but if Ijust messed it up and you prefer the former simple system dont hesitate to say so).

Sure, I'm fine with that. Just means more scope for interaction, on my part. The two factions are so far apart that they're effectively autonomous, anyway, so adding in the West Coast bases wouldn't add much of an advantage. Just means I get to mess around with those pesky kids in the NCR.

Sorry if that necessitates a map revision!

VAULT CITY

vaultcity.png

Almost 200 years after the "All clear" signal that convinced the inhabitants of Vault 8 to open their nuclear shelter, a blurry and strange radio signal has been broadcasted all over the settlement. "P.E.N.P.P. active...visitors welcome...P.E.N.P.P. active...P.E.N.P.P. active...visitors welcome". It is known that the majority of Vault City inhabitants still consider the outside world as a place full of uncivilized tribes and monsters, but a small faction tries to open their borders to trade and exploration. What does this signal mean? Is it a danger or an opportunity? Isolationists argue that must be ignored and fear some kind of foreign trap, whereas those who seek aperture insist that a patrol should be sent to investigate its origins. What will McClure decide?

MEXICO

mexicoraiders.jpg

In spite that the situation of Mexico is quite peaceful, at least compared to the Wastelands north of the former border, the Mexican Riders are bound to fight and overthrow the Government. Led by a mysterious man called "El Zorro", they have increased their power with their reckless raids and their almost total control of all drug distribution in Mexico. Since "El Zorro" gathered some corrupt military to fight by his side, the Republican Government is viewing with discontent how its influence decreases and how they begin to lose territories in a slow but constant pace.

How will Mexico react to this state of events? Is the Government decided to fight the rebels to death...or will they flee from the capital and let the raiders take power? Can a compromise be achieved with such criminals?

CAESAR´S LEGION

falloutlegionvegaslaniu.jpg

"Ave, Caesar!, we bring news to you!" A group of Frumentarii asks permission to speak to their mighty leader; apparently, they have discovered a strange hub in the desert, some kind of concrete bulding with an steel door that cannot be opened by the usual ways.

"We were bringing justice to a decadent village outside Willow Beach, when we saw it. Obviously we tried to enter it to search for resources or hidden barbarians, but it cannot be opened by force or cunninng. Believe us, oh, mighty Caesar, we tried it hard but we were few men to tear apart such a door".

"Good...I will think about it, answers the Emperor. You may leave now. Curate ut quam optime ualeatis". Will Caesar send men to investigate the matter? And how could that building be investigated? Or it is not worth the effort?

"In hoc signo taurus vinces", Caesar.

As before, concerned factions may send 1 order regarding this events. I hope you are all liking it!
