Songs related to each century like in EU2 would be great and was missed in EU3. It adds so much in immersion.
For more variety though, why not add a checkbox at the start of the game allowing to activate or not the classical songs ? Not activating them would result in generic ambiance musical themes as in EU3.
If it's too costly make it a "Classical centuries songs DLC" it should sell well.

I'm still holding out hope for a DLC that is simply 10 different versions of Falalalan.

Europa Universalis for many was a starting point learning more about Early Modern times.
Falalalan was the piece of music that didn't just blend in the background, but accomplished much the same garnering interest for time appropriate music.
I do hope Paradox will continue to include music like Falalalan with their games. It's more than fitting and after getting used to the alien sound of the past might even become a treasured favourite that you simply don't find anywhere else.

Oh my God, thanks for the link. Yes, this one is also a part of Europa Universalis' soul. A modern day composer, no mather how skillfull he might be, will not be able to capture the same true spirit of the forgone centuries. Please Johan, give us both these two pearls that is synonymious with the great Europa Universalis atmosphere. The game get's twice as good just by adding those.
Can be annoying for long gameplay. EU series music should be simple and shoudn't be intrusive.
They may include the music they have already ordered for the game, but please add these two grand old scores we all love so much, here and there when the game is in the right age for it. It's the easiest way to please us old veterans of the series, and to get our unconditional praise and love (not that you don't have it allready.....but it's not forbidden to spoil us).

If the music modding is anything like CK2's then it would be trivial to add in some music which was less common than other music, or some songs which only play at particular times (before 1500 say).
You wouldn't need to do that for every track, but some tracks deserve the extra effort.

If I can get into the beta, I promise to write a FalalalAARn.
If Paradox puts Falalalan back in the game I will pre-order instantly.
If they put Falalalan back, I'll leave GamersGate for good and only buy their games on Steam
(which I'm already going to do, as unfortunaly Linux support is coming only to Steam, not GG
Gotta buy CK2 and aaaaaall DLCs again.)
