So, recently wanted to play Stellaris again after a few updates with a friend, only to encounter this issue;

I can consistently recreate this.

Things I've tried;
Uninstalling/Reinstalling the game fresh, no mods, restarting PC after all fixes
Deleting the settings.txt and adding a blank one; failed
Editing the settings.txt to a smaller resolution; failed
Deleting the Stellaris folder in documents; failed
Uninstalled my Bitdefender; failed
I've verified after each reinstall; failed
Ran in administrator for both steam and stellaris; failed
Uninstalled and reinstalled latest drivers; failed
Reverted back to every single build prior to the latest one, including launch; failed
Uninstalled and Reinstalled DirectX(whatever version is in the main files) three times; failed
I've even swapped stellaris.exe with a friend out of sheer desperation.

YES my graphics card works for all 225 other games I own, never had a single problem, it's a very new card, maybe three months old max, the only time it hasn't worked and I had the same problem, was on a single dev built crappy russian game from 2003 that was badly optimized and terribly coded, all of which I'm assuming Stellaris isn't.
At this point I'm pretty irritated, honestly and would like any all fixes no matter how crazy or wacky, just something, otherwise I'm going to have to see if Steam will give me a refund despite the hours I've sunk into it, unlikely and that isn't a threat, just a ultimatum because the product I've bought; of no fault of my own as far as I can see, does not work any more.
