Just weeks after granting most of imperial Italy independence, the emperor declared war on Matilda in a press all claims war and gobbled up all of her lands.
Doesn't it kind of defeat the purpose of factions if the liege can just agree to their demands, and then pick them off one by one? Faction members should get some kind of truce with their ex-liege, and probably some kind of league system where the members of the original faction are called to war if the ex-liege attacks any of the members (this would only affect the actual characters involved in the original agreement, so that independence isn't guaranteed for too long).
EDIT: Unrelated question, but even though I married my son to Matilda normally, their first child is of her dynasty, not mine. Is there some kind of event that can switch a normal marriage to a matri-marriage, or assign a kid to the mother's dynasty at birth? Is this a CK2+ thing, or WaD vanilla?
