So I was thinking about how easy it is for a ruler who lost a faction independence war to force his strong claims, and become so much more powerful.
How about everybody that won the faction war is immediately allied to all other members ONLY if the former liege tries to force his claims?
So as an independent King of Bohemia fighting Poland, Matilda of Tuscany isn't at all obligated to join me; but, if the Kaiser declares war on me for his strong claims coming from the independence war, she gets -50 prestige or something if she doesn't help.
Of course tweak it a little in case I'm Duke of Lombardy (independent) and I attack Matilda (independent) and then the Kaiser DOWs me. Matilda shouldn't be obligated to help me, but the others should.
Understand me?
This should stop player exploit of the independence faction system.
