Way to miss my entire point, not to mention misrepresent most of what I said. I'd debate you on this matter, but I value my time far too much (plus, I feel you & Andrei have already derailed this thread enough).
I will say, though, that the AAA industry isn't "cost heavy", just very greedy.

Oh whatever. I'm done with you anyway. Can we just agree not to comment on each others posts from now on. I'm sick of having the same argument over and over again.

Who cares what clan you eventually join, the PC comes in as a ‘free agent’. All of these factions could back your rise to power. I never felt like I really ‘joined’ any of the BL1 factions until basically the end of the game. Crossing the Unseen could lead to a short after-lifespan... and I wouldn’t be surprised if the Camarilla had assistance from them to build their power base in Seattle as there seems to be no love lost with the Pioneers.

Yeah I'm not a huge Nosferatu fan personally, but I'm scratching my head with this one.

Why would I join a faction based around clan cohesiveness at all cost if I'm not part of that clan?

Are all factions available to join? Have I just assumed that? I thought was what the game was indicating before. Now that I think about it, probably not. Perhaps some factions are periphery only. Maybe the inevitable Nosferatu clan update will unlock additional involvement with this clan.

In any case, if I can't enlist with the newcomers as a tremere xmas is cancelled !!?! Lol
I think they did say that the factions will work more as in something you work towards joining (aka, most if not all factions will be joinable) rather than something you spawn into (bloodlines 1) so this seems in line with what they initially said

My point was that I'm struggling to imagine motivation for joining a group which favours certain clans.

So for example Nosferatu and Toerador are opposed by disposition and seen each other as necessary evils. So as a Toreador why would I throw my lot in with a whole bunch of Nosferatu.

It's an old post you've resurrected though and apparently the Unseen are far from the Nos centric faction I believed them to be when I wrote that.

I believe the point in this case is that you are not "Toreador" at last not in right meaning of that word.

You are just thinblood, who was until recently (when he become Toreador) used to work with in fact anyone who was willing to work with him, bcs in the eyes of "Toreadors" (meaning that older, slytish, maybe even kind of powerfull dudes with theyr noses so high so they are catching telegraph cabels) you were as low as Nosferatus ... or maybe even lower.
If you will join that group, forget about everything good they did for you, and turn your back to them, bcs "now you are Toreador and they are below you" ... you can.
But also you can turn your back to those smug bastards, and keep your contact with your smelly friends.

An interesting concept. In fact the Nosferatu (forget the name) seemed less dismissive of Slug's thinbloodedness than he might otherwise of been and the Nosferatu are known for being kinder to outcasts than other clans.

However, would a player predisposed to become a toreador want to mix with riff raff lol. Who knows, but I'm enjoying speculating :)

Predisposed ... well, that alone is quite funny concept.
Concidering how cunning, deceitful and treacherous society we are talking about. :D

Since we dont know yet circumstances of your "fullblooding" ( :D ), we can only speculate ...
Personaly i believe that for Toreador elders (or more like olders) will see your connection to Unseen as a negative ... and then they will consider if the rest will overweight this, or not.
If so ... you will be joining as "that despicable one who was connected to them before", ad its up to you, if you stay that one ... or you cut every connection to just become "that one who was despicable, but came to his sences". :D

Yeah so like I said, there's a degree of narrative complication to clan choice and sect alignment.

Hopefully the game caters to and explores these contradictions if/where they exist.

Hello. Dear developers, I follow the process of creating the game Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 with great attention, as I am a big fan of it. I would like to leave my humble wish that in the future (possibly in the form of DLC), the Lasombra faction would be added. They have always had a lot of influence and are very interesting. Elegant and predatory at the same time, they rule the night itself. They have two directions of development: 1) control of mirrors, reflections 2) control of darkness and shadow. I think that such an interesting clan must be present. In addition, I wanted to be able to turn people into vampires. For example, to convert you need to improve relations with this person or get permission from the clan. And the number of possible calls is limited and depends on your level and position in the clan. P.S. I apologize if something is not clear. I am writing through a translator.
