Faction Advice

OK, after about 45 minutes of digging, I can't find any of the information I actually want, so. Factions. There's plenty of explanation for how to squish/deal with factions as a king/emperor, but I can't find any explanation on anything pertaining to faction participation, such as:

A) How do I join a faction I support within my nation?
B) How do I create a faction?
C) Where is the mythical 'Faction Screen' I have seen referenced?

or

D) What is a URL for a guide that actually explains any of the above stuff?

To pre-emptively answer the question, yes, I have LoR installed.

On the Intrigue tab (y'know, where you do plots, make decisions, etc.), do you see that blue bar near the top of the page? To the top right of that should be a button labeled "Factions" you can click to switch to the factions screen. Like the Ambitions button, it's hidden in plain sight.

Fabled Screen Discovered!!!!! I must have overlooked that thing 40 times clicking around looking for it. There's no +1 system on this forum, so +1 for Kimberly and Vitek.

The faction plot I specifically wanted to test out (Independence) isn't available, not sure why. Regardless, I'll just declare independence and do it the good ol' brandished Digitus Medius way.
