I dislike when the devs tease new content so early and then you have to wait months for the release. Imho I'd rather just not know. The teases and releases always end up being an disappointment anyways and you get a **** pie of content with bugs all over the place, making it completely unenjoyable.

Nobody forces you to read DDs or watch dev streams. On the other hand, many people do like these. It's free advertisement to have people hype about upcoming patches and I've played Stellaris after every single patch has come out, and while there have been bugs, no bug has ever ruined a game for me during my 300h of Stellaris.

You can't enslave your founding species no matter what, but you can probably enslave anyone else you run into.

Because, after watching 1 hour of stream, it's clear as a day, that Authoritarian folks are just a bunch of useless losers who produce less, and unrest all day (light-day) long.

On a serious note, can someone write that exactly they say about global food on around 1 hour mark of Stream? I got it something like: "It''s weird (about unrest of new colonies) but necessary for global food system... it's not yet in, ... but i intend to get... (?)"

Yep, Syfy has it there but you have to have a cable subscription to watch it so I'll sit here crossing my fingers for a DVD release.
