The Blorg chronicles, part 2
Despite repeated attempts, Blorg friendship was rejected by almost all sentient life that was encountered during this early phase of space exploration.
A defiant executive Easterbrook laid out a new policy of friendship aquisition. New Friend Ships would ensure cordiality with a reluctant galaxy. The rousing speech Easterbrook made in introducing the policy is celebrated as one of the strongest in Blorg history. An excerpt follows:
"We shall go on to the end. We shall befriend them on Blorg. We shall befriend on land and in space, we shall befriend with growing confidence and growing amicability, we shall invite them to our planet, whatever the cost may be. We shall party on the beaches, we shall party on the landing grounds, we shall party in the fields and in the streets, we shall party in the hills; we shall never give up!"

I'll start posting them on Tuesday when I get back into the office.When are the other parts of session 2 going to be uploaded on Youtube? Can only find the first 30 mins for now
From now on the episodes will be spread out over the week. I am going to post episodes the same way I posted the MP Dev stream videos. In chunks of around 30 min, all posted before the day of the next stream.

That's highly unfortunate. During Easter I have only phone and iPad available, and the twitch app doesn't allow me to see the streams post stream. It seems to only allow to watch while you stream. There is no see old broadcasts option. Not even in the browser, as it sends me to the mobile page with no other option. YouTube is what I rely on. And when home, I seldom have time to follow you while you stream. Please, please, add the while stream to YouTube and twitch after stream. Not a whole frikkin week later!
It's a public holiday which is why the week is a bit lopsided when it comes to content. The videos will normally be spaced out over the week on Youtube, as we get more views and a larger audience that way. A full 2 hour video on YT just doesn't work very well.

So Far - I like the Game - More and More ...
But, 1 Issue seems (still) to be problematic ...
The Representation of the Borders of an Empire/Federation or to be exact, which particular Star-System belongs to which particular Empire/Federation ...
And finally a personal Recommendation ...
I have (still) the Opinion, that a Tile, Which has (native) Ressources or (native) Research-Points, should only has 1 (native) Ressource-Type or only 1 (native) Research-Point-Type ...
For Example: A Tile with (only) 3 (native) Energy-Credit-Units or a Tile with (only) 2 (native) Mineral-Units or a Tile with (only) 1 (native) Engineering-Research-Point-Unit etc. ...
It could helps the Player and the AI, to build the right Constructions on these Tiles and with the (other) Tiles without a (native) Ressource-Type or a (native) Research-Point-Type, the Player and the AI would (still) have/has enough Construction-Choices.

Ok. I thought you meant it was a permanent thing. But why not release the whole thing and also do the smaller bits? The video you released today just suddenly stopped and I had lots of time available to watch more. It's just annoying to your more dedicated customers to have to wait a whole week for the whole thing just because Thursday evening is full.

Standard Youtube business practice. I've heard from more than one different youtuber that you overall get more views if you space your videos out than if you just dump them all at once. That is probably what he meant with a "larger audience".

Seeing this really makes me wonder about the viability of the concept of having a trade empire in this game. It doesnt seem very viable.

It is going to depend a lot on both your race and their races. The are repugnant and surrounded by a lot of xenophobes and hegemonic empires. All sorts of penalties accrue. Likable beings surrounded by friendly traders are going to have a much easier time with mutual agreements, research pacts, migration and energy/mineral trades.
That isn't the issue. Rendering a large video for YouTube takes a lot of time. Demanding he stay at work during the holiday so you can be treated better than 'the plebs' is... poor form.

Maybe in a later expansion, but they don't have that kind of trade in the game right now. Right now it's just standard government-to-government trading, no value generation trading.

That "assassinate leader" thing had me flashing back to early builds of CK2.
"Sir, a rogue Blorg on Khersonia is gathering adventurers!"
"Here is 500 pounds of Space Gold! Deal with him!"
I would also agree with the Twitch chat (heresy, I know) that the AI seemed to give way too much weight to Wiz's offers. What did he get off of them, like 1.7k minerals and 1k energy for star charts and a Guarantee Independence? 5 years of the production surplus of the entire Blorg Commonality? Seems a little off.
Other than that, the game looked great. Pretty excited for May 9th.

That's my favorite part of the stream, other than the Space High Five:
Prior to First Contact with the Blorgs, the Sibulan League Space Owls were Despicable Neutrals.
Immediately after First Contact with the Blorgs, the Sibulan League Space Owls turned into Fanatical Purifiers.
The mind-blowing revelation that alien lifeforms can be as abhorrently disgusting as the Blorgs turned a bunch of Neutrals into Purifiers! Granted, the Space Owls were Fanatic Xenophobes to begin with, but the mere sight of the Blorgs affirmed their belief!
